A Slightly Difficult Game (2008)

Back when I Wanna be the Guy was all the rage, I wanted a to make similar Kaizo-style game and that ended up to be the first thing I ever published online, on the old Yogogames portal. While I've lost the files since then, the YoyoGames Sandbox Archive has thankfully preserved the executable, allowing me to upload it here.

Does it hold up? Not particularly, but there's some fun ideas in there. I still like the opening gag, and it was an amusing idea to have a custom taunt/"joke" depending on what obstacle killed you. Do keep in mind that these have been written by a high-schooler🥲

It probably was not a great idea to put one of the game's most difficult obstacles (having to land right in a narrow gap in the middle of two spikes) in the first half of level 1. If you don't want to deal with this nonsense but see the rest of the game, I recommend watching the Youtube playthrough I uploaded back in the day.
